MAPLESTEAD HALL BARN

Our brief was to obtain Planning and Listed Building consent to repair and conserve the existing 19th century Essex barn to be suitable for use as a new agricultural business, to convert the attached buildings to domestic use, to convert the existing shed into a cartlodge and carry out associated landscaping works.  

The buildings for domestic use were insulated to code level 4 and a large amount of the original timbers were left visible creating dramatic living spaces.
