OLD CHURCH STREET
The Grade II Listed five storey house was originally designed by Halsey Ricardo. Our work included a complete internal rebuild, extensions for a new Studio at third floor level over a second floor flat roof and a new attached Orangery at basement level. The Orangery was constructed of natural stone with a seasoned oak beam roof and three sets of French doors with panelled shutters. A new terrace was formed over the Orangery.
The Orangery roof was constructed using seasoned oak beams and the french doors incorporated brass mesh panelled shutters to act as a large bird cage when the African parrots were released into the room. The new Studio was built at third floor level over an existing flat roof. Natural Italian Onyx light fittings were made especially for the house.
