LE SELVE

We were commissioned to design a large new house on the site of an earthquake damaged stone building near Perugia in Umbria, Italy.  A planning condition was that the footprint should be the same trapezoid shape as the destroyed building.  The house is 740m² on three floors connected by a large circular staircase.

The main living rooms and bedrooms have wonderful views over the valley. The ground floor has a verandah along the south side and the lower ground floor contains the main entrance hall, a billiard room and garages.  Our work included a landscaping scheme.
